You end up real disappointed when you go through life thinking people have the same heart as you.

why are all "christians" bigoted idiots who think they're better than everyone?

kathrineplumber:

I’m going to try to answer this as calmly and as clearly as I can. Not all Christians are bigots. To be Christian is to be Christ-like; to try and see the world the way Jesus saw it. Jesus was loving, accepting, and forgiving. The whole point of Jesus coming to Earth was so he could save the world through love and not condemnation. His closest friends were considered the scum of the Earth: the poor, tax collectors, murderers, ect. And yet as soon as he said “follow me” to them, they did. They turned away from their life of sin and tried, to the best of their ability, to live a judge-free life with him. I can’t tell you how many times Jesus called out his disciples when they were condemning others. He was a humble and loving man. He thought himself no better than the people of this Earth, even though he was the son of God. The ultimate goal of Christianity is to love and accept others, and to spread the good news of the second chance Jesus gave everyone. I cannot speak for others who share my beliefs, but I would never look down on someone for being different from me. I am so incredibly flawed, as is everyone. How could I ever have the right of thinking myself better than someone just because their views differ from mine? I would never condemn someone even if my fellow “Christians” did. God gave me a heart of love and acceptance when He saved me. I can only follow the path and truths He has placed in me. I am no better than anyone on this planet. Everyone deserves to be treated equally by others, no matter their age, race, gender, sexuality, religion, ect. Because Jesus didn’t just die for a select few. He died for everyone. There is not, nor will there every be, a person on this Earth he did not love. Christianity is about loving others, humbling yourself, and living a life that would make God say “well done”. That is what I believe. Do not assume all Christians are like the people who get the most media attention.
